Dario Valderrama is a Mexican composer currently based in Los Angeles, California.  Born in 1976, he has dedicated the majority of the past two decades to writing,  recording, and producing music for various multimedia shows, films and television. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dario received the Best Original Score Ariel Award from the Mexican Academy of Film\u00a0 Arts and Sciences in 2010 for his work on the feature film Nora’s Will<\/strong>, winner of\u00a0 numerous awards in Film Festivals all over the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has composed the scores for all seasons of the highly acclaimed TV shows El\u00a0 Ministerio del Tiempo (The Ministry of Time)<\/strong> and the dark humor comedy-drama\u00a0 Nasdrovia<\/strong>, both produced in Madrid, Spain by RTVE and Movistar+ respectively.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout his career, he has worked with prominent production companies like\u00a0 Cocolab<\/strong> in Mexico City and Balich Wonder Studio<\/strong> in Milan, developing complex\u00a0 musical narratives for spectacular immersive shows and destination experiences.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has been sought after for prestigious projects, such as MXTX<\/strong>, a gender-balanced\u00a0 collaborative exchange involving 40 artists from both sides of the Rio Grande, focused\u00a0 on creating an album, a touring live performance, and an open-source audio sample\u00a0 library.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2018, secured the 2nd place in the 4th <\/sup>edition of the String Quartet Smackdown<\/strong> competition held in Austin by Golden Hornet, an event that garners over 200\u00a0 submissions annually.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Dario has collaborated as a keyboardist with renowned international\u00a0 artists like Grammy winners Julieta Venegas<\/strong>, Fobia<\/strong>, Adan Jodorowsky<\/strong>, and Pepe\u00a0 Aguilar<\/strong> among others, recording and touring across various countries in America and\u00a0 Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
